Sex Doll Weight Reduction - What You Should Know

What it is.

Weight Reduction (also known as WR) is a method of creating TPE/Silicone realistic dolls that can reduce the overall weight of the doll by an average of 20%.

Who makes it?

Both Starpery and SM Dolls make dolls using this new technique (Starpery has TPE and silicone dolls, and SM Dolls only has silicone dolls). For Starpery, this is the default feature, i.e. the weight you see on the product page is already the weight of the reduced version.

WM Dolls launches WR in three body types (163CM H cup: 33.5KG, 168CM E cup: 30KG, 173CM H cup: 35KG. Additional fees apply)

Piper Dolls and Zelex Dolls are made in the WR version by default.

How is the reduction achieved?

Manufacturers are understandably reluctant to reveal too many details.

Starpery advises, "We use a special foam core with a skeleton to replace some of the materials [TPE/silicone] and achieve weight reduction. It doesn't have any drawbacks, [the dolls] are just a little bit softer than a regular full-weight doll"

SM Dolls won't explain how they changed the manufacturing process for now, but "we [they] can guarantee that the weight reduction will not affect the quality and softness of the dolls, and they are even better and more realistic than the original ones." To support this claim, SM Dolls provided a softness video test comparing a 156cm A-cup with and without weight reduction:

Reduced weight (28.5 kg)

Normal weight (35.5 kg):

Is there any difference between WR and non-WR dolls, apart from the weight?

No. WR dolls maintain the same range of motion, postural possibilities and sexual performance as "regular weight" dolls.

What is the feedback from customers?

So far the deliveries of Weight Watchers dolls have been very small. The following are excerpts from owner feedback on the doll forums:

"In my experience with the Starpery doll, it may give you a softer sensation in certain places when pressure is applied, as the silicone is reduced and replaced by more foam core. Other areas seem to be stiffer (like the crotch area).
If you think you could benefit from an 8-10 pound weight loss (which could be significant for a 60-80 pound doll), I'd get the WR."

So is it worth it? Do clients have a choice?

As the industry moves toward "weight loss," it may become increasingly difficult for customers to choose between WR and non-WR dolls. For example, brands such as Piper Dolls specialize in WR versions of dolls. While the choice is still open to the customer, our advice is for the customer to ask themselves how important it is for them to lose weight and how much they are willing to compromise on the loss of softness in certain areas. If weight reduction is important, then choosing WR makes sense. If weight is not a critical issue, then it may make sense to stick with a regular weight doll.
